Under 7s at Sarecens Festival 27th January 2018

On Saturday 27th January the U7’s played in a Core Values Festival at Saracens on the 4G pitch. Our team consisted of 7 players, Josh Feldtman, Hayden Thomas, Josh Betley, Jack Bowyer, George Stamp, Ben Goring-Farrow and Ollie Beer.

We got there bright and early to find our selves in a pool of 4 teams, Malton, Saffron Waldron, Tumbridge Wells and Us. We had a total of 6 games meaning we would be playing each team twice. As it was a core values festival we would be scored on the RFU core Values of, Respect Teamwork Enjoyment Discipline Sportsmanship Each team started each game with 3 points and could gain a maximum of 5 points per team per game.

The boys all played brilliantly with some of their best performances of the season. Great team spirit and skills shown throughout.

At the end of the games we were told that we been awarded a total of 119 points out of a possible 120, making us the top scorers in our pool.

They got to meet some of the Saracens players,  had photos taken with them and got signatures before watching them play against Dragons in the Anglo Welsh Cup. Although it was cold and wet they continued to cheer and enjoyed the experience.

So a well done to all the players and coaches for all their hard efforts and for representing the club, and for coming top on their pool, we are really proud of them!!
