Spend three days with Northampton Saints community team at Leighton Buzzard RFC, developing as a player and creating great memories.
Boys and Girls aged 6-14 will get the chance to be coached by Northampton Saints Community staff and get a feel for what it is like to be part of a Gallagher Premiership Club.
Inspired by our desire to encourage and develop young talent, our coaches have developed a suitable programme to continually challenge young people and give them a worthwhile rugby experience.
Children will get the chance to develop their understanding of the game through a variety of activities and game situations. The camp will incorporate a theme from our SPIRIT values for the day which will mould the content of the sessions.
The sessions will also focus on:
Body Management
Tackle Technique (U9+)
Fundamentals of Rugby – Including catch/pass, agility and kicking
Decision making in attack
Go Forward
Defensive resilience
Creative play
The camps will also use our core games to bring these focus points into game related scenarios.
Training is structured into two sessions throughout the day with specific outcomes agreed by coaches. Lunch will run from 12:00-1:15pm and will include a lunchtime activity.
Saints Community strive to help all participants reach their full potential, no matter if they have played rugby before or not.
As part of the camp, all children will receive:
Northampton Saints camp t-shirt
Northampton Saints drawstring bag
Northampton Saints water bottle
Key Ring
Free junior ticket to a fixture throughout the year (TBC)
10% saintsstore voucher (valid for a limited time)
Northampton Saints camps are assisted by professional players (subject to availability) who share the common passion for rugby. The players spend time answering questions asked by the children as well as showcasing their own training tips and techniques.
