The RFU has just released details of the forthcoming 2022 Autumn Series matches, earlier than we expected, with the window to purchase match tickets opening next Wednesday, 4 May 2022.
Those Club members who wish to apply for tickets need to complete the attached Application Form which must be returned to John Hall,
john.hall@buzzardrugby.co.uk, by email, by this Friday, 29th April. The Form has details of the match dates and prices.
As some of you will already be aware, the RFU no longer issues paper tickets – entry to Twickenham Stadium is now by e-ticket for which you (and each of your party/guests) will need their own smartphone and also have pre-loaded the Twickenham Stadium App.
There is expected to be considerable demand for the two Tier 1 fixtures and the Club’s ticket allocation is limited.
However, for the Argentina & Japan fixtures, at present, there is no restriction on the number that may be purchased, subject to availability. But please do not over-order as tickets will only be refunded if they are subsequently re-sold!
IMPORTANT!
This year and going forward, there will be a change to the way in which Members purchase their tickets. (Those who attended this season’s 6 Nations will already be aware of how the e-ticketing system functions.)
Previously, the Club has purchased the tickets and collected the cost from Members, who subsequently received their paper tickets, via the Club, a fortnight or so before the start of the Series.
With immediate effect, provided your Application for some or all of your requests can be accommodated, the new e-ticketing process requires you to complete the purchase, using either a debit or credit card.
There is a very short period for you to complete your payment – just 48 hours, otherwise, the RFU Ticket Office will cancel your Application and the tickets will be returned to the overall “pot” for subsequent sale to the general public, at the undiscounted Club price.
As all this depends on the accuracy of your contact information, both your email and mobile numbers, so please ensure we can read your handwriting.
