Under 8s
The U8’s had a great morning beating Dunstablians and Stockwood Park, drew with Luton and lost by 1 score to a very well organised and hmmm rules obsssed Ampthill side – seems we are the only team who haven’t coached the team to hand off….
Under 9’s
A brilliant day at the Stockwood Park festival with our U9s today! The kids played some fantastic, free-flowing rugby, really embracing that heads-up, instinctive style of play. It was great to see their confidence growing as they backed themselves, played what was in front of them, and showed real creativity on the pitch—plus, loads of high fives, which was lovely to see!
A big shoutout to Alan—his introduction of the C.A.R.D.S. philosophy is really paying off, helping the players become more adaptable, confident, and intelligent on the field.
Under 11’s
U11s enjoyed a fantastic morning of rugby at Bedford – we played 5 games in pool A and performed well after we warmed up after the initial 1st match against a very well drilled Bedford Blues A team ! We did manage to achieve the much coveted three-peat over Stockwood park this season in a very fiercely fought battle with the Buzzards coming out on top 7-2 !
We also had an amazing performance against Bedford Blues B team coming out 9-1 winners !
The U11 girls played as part of a Baa-Baas team today in pool B and were exceptional in their matches! We were delighted that we could ensure they managed to come back and play alongside the boys for the final game against Stockwood – well done all! Some very proud coaches and parents!
