Under 15s
U15’s were home V’s Luton in the East Mids plate quarterfinal.
From the off it was clear that Luton were well up for the match, wanting revenge from our league win earlier in the season.
3 early tries working the ball wide and attacking space we couldn’t cover saw us on the back foot. We just weren’t there today and let Luton play how they wanted. Couple of well worked tries from us saw a glimmer of hope from the home side.
Final 10 minutes saw us take over control and kept the ball up in there 22, but it was too little too late for the boys in blue today. Final score 17-48.

Colts
The Colts made the short journey to Tring this afternoon. After several late withdrawals, the Buzzards were left with a matchday squad of only 17, including only seven recognised forwards, with Harrison, our regular scrum half, playing as flanker.
The makeshift pack did well against their division three opponents, with scrum dominance and excellent rucking meaning the Buzzard boys kept in contact with our hosts for most of the game, trailing just 17-12 (thanks to tries from Ewan and Harrison, the second successfully converted by Simon) with 20 minutes to go.
In the latter stages of the game, Tring capitalised on our depleted squad, using their bench to add fresh legs against boys who had run themselves into the ground on a muddy pitch.
Final score 36-12 but a coaching team very proud indeed of the 17 that pulled the shirt on today.
Forward of the day was Arthur who put his body on the line time and time again for his teammates. Back of the day was Joe A for a fine performance at full back.
