Under 11’s v Aylesbury 11th March 2017

Under blue skies, with Spring in the air, Buzzards U11s put in arguably their most complete performance of the season against Aylesbury RFC. We played three matches during the morning and the team built on how well they had played against Milton Keynes RFC a fortnight ago with a level of intensity and precision that we have been asking for as coaches. The team carried an air of self-belief into each match which resulted in a very positive outcome. The team played with a freedom that has rarely been seen throughout the season, but was a pleasure to watch.

At times the rugby flowed from one side of the pitch to the other with passages of play underpinned by some great physicality at the breakdown and in the tackle, along with slick passing and support running. Linking phases of play together is an important development that the team were able to point bring to the fore today.

The tries were shared across the team with Jack Charter, Lewis Jeans, Ben Eggleton, Edward Hasley and Charlie Rumens all crossing the try line at different times in all three matches. Credit must go to each and every player who pulled on the blue and white of Buzzards RFC today as they did the club and themselves extremely proud.

Many thanks to all parents for not only bringing the boys, but being so supportive throughout today. I think it’s fair to say all the players responded positively.
