Under 15s v MK 15th October 2017

Buzzard U15’s played host to Milton Keynes RFC on Sunday 15th October in a friendly fixture. Following a few weeks of training, the lads were ready to put their skills to the test again in a competitive arena.

Leighton Buzzard had a few players missing through injury and non-availability and so the larger MK squad lent 3 players to shore up the Buzzards pack.

The match started at a frenetic pace, with the Buzzard backs capitalising on good possession secured through the forwards. Ellis Blacow, returning from injury, was soon on the scoreboard after a very strong jinking run, slipping through several tackles to score a great individual Try. Harry Nossiter added the Conversion.

Leighton Buzzards forwards now really got into their stride securing the Ball and running hard and direct at the MK defensive line. Captain Tom Charter soon capitalised with some strong attacking play leading to him bagging 2 Tries in short order.

Scott Towell then added to the score with a good run through the middle just staying ahead of the rapidly chasing MK defender.

Just before the end of the half, Elllis again scored following slick handling and strong support play.

The second half continued in the same vein with newcomer Jazz Chualia scoring his debut try in his debut game. Tom and Ellis then added their 3rd Tries each respectively to cap off a fine attacking display by the young Buzzards.

Thanks to MK for lending us players and for helping to make this a very friendly and competitive match despite the rather one-sided scoreline.
