LBRUFC U8’s entered into the Northampton Saints Mini’s Rugby Festival on Saturday followed by watching Northampton Saint win over Castres in The European Champions Cups.
LBRUFC entered two very strong sides into the tournament and came away without any losses on the day.Considering the weather conditions were very difficult for both sides they played exceptional tag rugby showing great commitment and skills to overcome the opposition. They displayed an outstanding performance of rugby in defence and attack for all the other coaches and spectators to see
The teams where very entertaining to watch and showed great promises for the season ahead, all the players organised themselves and played in the good spirit of the game, and benefited from scoring some wonderful team and solo tries.
During the tournament the LBRUFC players got an opportunity to meet and have photo’s with the 1st Team Northampton Saints players and the England Captain (Dylan Hartley), and were also given the opportunity to go onto the pitch at half-time at Franklin Gardens, wow what an experience and well deserved.
All the coaches are very proud of the players, their performances and behaviour, and how they represented their club,we are all looking forward to working with the players for the rest of the season.
Training is on Sundays and LBRUFC are always looking for new players.
