Sunday 18th November was a cold but sunny morning away at Datchworth after an hours journey the kids were itching to get on and play.
Leighton buzzard U9s had three teams with the help of some borrowed players from the opposition. The three Datchworth teams rotated round the three pitches which consisted of fithteen minute games.
I only got to watch one team so this report is from that team.
Leightons first game was strong, tackle after tackle lead to them making some great breaks and tries. The second and final games were a bit harder and encouraged the players to play well as a team with passes and doubling up on the tackles to stop the opposition. Leighton kept a great line and their confidance grew which showed with their great defending and many tries.
Players of the day trophies went to Joseph’s, James, Evan and Olivia After the games it was back to the Datchworth clubhouse for hotdogs and drinks
